Take a look at our mission statement:

But first the Gospel,

A missions organization dedicated to seeing the body of Christ built up and sent out in prayer

Why We Exist

We exist to edify the local church by building houses of prayer within them. We believe in the necessity of prayer and are doing everything we can to see Churches lit anew with a fresh zeal for rightful prayer and worship.

As we worship Him morning, noon, and night, our hearts are transformed to look more like Him, (2 Cor 3:18) resembling Him rightly to the rest of the world. We are convinced that worship plays a fundamental role in seeing the Church equipped, empowered, and sent out.

We exist partner with and uplift the local church. (Philippians 1:27-28)

We exist to worship Him. (Revelation 4:11)

We exist to live in worship and to pray without ceasing. (1 Thessalonians 5:16-17)

We exist to ascend the hill of the Lord. (Psalm 24:3-4)

We exist to pray for what He is praying for. (John 17:20-23)

We exist to stand in the gap. (Ezekiel 22:30)

We exist to know His heart (Philippians 3:10)

We exist to be known by Him. (1 Corinthians 8:3)

The Bible

We believe that the 66 books of the Old Testament and New Testament make up the Word of God, and that there are no other outlying texts or ideas that can refute or contradict what is written in this Book. We believe that the Bible in its original languages is the inspired Word of God. We believe that it alone is sufficient to make us complete, and to equip us for every good work. (2 Tim 3:16-17) (Hebrews 4:12)

Prayer

We believe that prayer is necessary in the life of the Christian. Prayer in its most rightful sense is a means to commune with God and ask for His will come to earth. Prayer is an invaluable method towards seeing the lost come to know Him. It is vital in keeping the Christian full of life and zeal. We are to pray without ceasing (Matthew 21:13) (1 Thessalonians 5:17) (1 John 5:14)

Worship unto Him

We believe that worship must be directed towards Him. This is our aim not just in thought, but in practice. Worship is not a performance or a show, it is a rightful expression of honor, sacrifice, thanksgiving, and love given to God. (Psalm 96:4) (Genesis 22:5) (Romans 12:1) (Psalm 29:1-2)

Expository Teaching.

We love to read the bible verse by verse, diving deep into the beauty behind every word in Scripture. We aim to not preach any new gospel or revelation, but that which has been taught and upheld for centuries throughout Church history by faithful believers. (Revelation 22:18) (Galatians 1:6-9)

Rightful Affection

We aim to worship with rightful joy as we revel in the Gospel. We believe that worship should carry an appropriate emotional response to the reality that we are now saved and called righteous. We believe in the rightful expression of affection in worship towards the God who gave us life itself. (Psalm 63:1-5) (Psalm 95:6) (2 Samuel 6:12-15) (Psalm 100:1-5) (Judges 5:3) (1 Chronicles 15:16) (Revelation 11:16) (Hebrews 10:19-20) (1 Peter 1:3)

Imputed Righteousness

We believe that righteousness has been imputed to genuine believers. That by His mercy, He has credited righteousness to our account while we were wholly underserving of it. Because of this, we get to identify with a new nature and no longer be enslaved to our sinful nature. We recognize the obedience-enabling grace that God has offered to us and dare not neglect the reality that Christians can truly walk in righteousness by the power of God’s grace. We believe that Christians can experience power over sin and have a clean conscience because of His sacrifice for us on the cross. (Romans 6:1-23) (Romans 8:9-17) (1 John 3:1-10) (2 Corinthians 5:21) (1 Peter 3:21) (Hebrews 9:14)

(Matthew 5:8) (Psalm‬ ‭24‬:‭3‬-‭4‬)

Unity

We believe that it is through our oneness that Christ will be revealed to the world. We strongly fight for the unity of the Church, recognizing that Christ is coming back for one bride. We fight for the unity of all believers across every genuine denomination. (1 Corinthians 1:10-17) (1 Corinthians 3:1-9) (Philippians 1:27-28) (Ephesians 4:3, 13) (Psalm 133:1)

What we value

We long for the Gospel to become the center of the local church. The fullness of the Gospel is the fuel that will ignite the local Church and bring it into all that God has called it to be.

Our desire is that through the beauty of the Gospel, the culture of prayer and worship would be born. We aim to serve as a catalyst for local churches to see this culture formed within their body.

We want to be clear. The only means in which we will begin to value the heart of prayer in a local body of believers is through the Gospel.

It has been said that the Gospel reveals God’s beauty, and worship is a response to that beauty. We prioritize the word of God in all that we do. Believing that we cannot rightly respond to Him if we do not rightly see Him.

Out of this vein is birthed a longing in our hearts to teach the Good News. Throughout the establishment of this prayer house, we will be teaching regularly on topics such as sonship, identity, righteousness, and dependency on Christ alone.

We believe that out of the revelation of the Gospel comes a real appreciation for His glory.

Word and Spirit

The Need for the Church

God created the Church to be the solution of seeing the lost come to know Him. He created the Church as the solution for those that know Him to be equipped and discipled. We long to come alongside the local church to see it purified and equipped. Christ is not coming back for para-church ministries. He is coming back for the Church.

Why is the Prayer House Important?

When Jesus said, “My house will be called a house of prayer,” He meant it.

In a world where we are constantly calloused by distraction, prayer houses play a critical role to recenter our gaze on Jesus. He went through far too much for us to take His presence for granted.

We were created to be in union with God. As we seek Him, we become more aware of His eagerness to be near to us. Prayer and worship cannot be dismissed as just another weekly Sunday activity.

Prayer can seem like a rather impractical way of seeing the lost come to know Jesus. In some ways, evangelism, discipleship, and outreach seem like much more effective ways to see the lost come to know Him. However, In Matthew 9, we see that before we are sent out, we must first pray. Step one of seeing the lost come to know Jesus is prayer. Out of the heart of prayer, evangelism, discipleship, and all other necessary roles of the Church become especially effective in seeing this lost world come to know Jesus.

We long to see the marriage between the prayer movement and the missions movement. Without prayer, we are like cars without fuel. Prayer is the fuel behind everything we do.
